Hmm, what's on my mind today?  I guess it's just so depressing with the holidays coming and no money to buy all the garbage that everyone throws away anyways!  I guess it's always been my dream to buy all those expensive presents for everyone, but I've never been rich enough, lol.  So it will just be a dream for another year.  Honestly, you don't have to spend a fortune of gifts to make some really nice, useful ones.  They really are more appreciated because you are thought of every time it gets used.  You can make a gift basket of any type you see in the store.  One time I made homemade jam, wrapped it in green tissue paper, set it in a pie tin, wrapped that in white tissue, and stuck a poinsettia flower (fake) in each one.  Everyone thought they had got a poinsettia until they opened it and then they were even happier because they love my jam!!  But you don't have to be a great cook either.  You can buy the boxed mixes, bake them up and wrap them nice.  Another idea is to make a gift basket around a theme.  One year I did apple crisp baskets.  I put in a baking pan (dollar store), 2 cans apple pie filling (on sale) and a bag of homemade crisp.  I included basic directions.  You can put together a bath basket using samples (free, look online) or trial sizes from the stores.  Pick a scent, color, or gender to keep the theme together.  How about a meal basket?  Spaghetti, sauce, bag of salad, dressing, fresh bread and garlic spread ( butter with minced garlic added, stir and package).  You could do a coffee basket with coffee, cute cheap cups, etc.  Tea, cocoa (there's great recipes online for flavored ones to make and these are really good).  For kids style it to their age.  A book or small game, some snacks to munch on or a movie and popcorn basket for those with teeth, lol
The basic idea is to figure out what the person you are giving it to really likes.  Look at their lifestyle, hobbies, interests, etc.  You can find something that you can put together or make that will mean more to them than any expensive present you could ever buy, almost haha.  I'll have to ask my brothers if they would rather have a porche or my cheesecake- might be an interesting poll to add, think I'll try it!!!

Reallity

You know how some people can see things completely different than it is?  I finally know how--their mind is in a different dimension than their bodies!!!  Remember the show "sliders"?  They slid into other dimensions of earth with an alternate reality of themselves.  If you think about it, if another dimension has a different time than our own, it's possible that deja vu is just your mind being linked with another you who has already experienced something seconds before you.  Explains ESP with a more scientific basis than the unknown.  In some of the new theories of quantum and string theory, they say that it is possible that there are black holes of any size, from the ones we try to find that can swallow whole galaxies, to ones so tiny that we can't see them with anything we have invented yet and that these tiny ones can be right in front of us or in us and we would never know.  There are also theories that black holes can be wormholes, shortcuts across space, time, or dimensions.  If a person had a "wormhole" in their brain that allowed them to connect with the brains of their alternates, could that explain multiple personalities?  In other dimensions, you may have been born or not, you may be male or female, smarter or dumber, older or younger, any possibility is out there and every fork has been taken.
Does this mean time travel is possible? Yes and no.  To travel back in time, I don't think so.  Each dimension may be ahead or behind ours, but it is still the same universe time,   I think we can see the past if we could travel faster than time.  In other words, we'd have to make time stand still.  If we could go from earth, with no time passing, to any point in the universe, we could see that far back.  For example, if we could go from here to Jupiter with no time passing, then we could see as many  years into Earth's past as we are lightyears from earth.  The further the distance, the further back into our history we could see.  But that time is all we would see, nothing before or after, like a freeze frame of a movie.  Why could we see it but not go back into past times?  because it is only an energy signature of light.  You can record a video, rewind or fastforward it, but you can't go into it and interact.  Am I confusing anyone yet?  Is it possible to travel forward in time?  Yes, we know the theories but not the technologies or even if we can do it.  To travel forward in time is only to be able to travel at the speed of light.  But the speed of light can't be accomplished yet, and may never happen.  Some believe that if you travel at the speed of light as we understand it, then the speed of light is still faster.  Others believe that the speed of light can never be achieved, that we could only make it to a tiny bit less.  However, let's say we can travel at the speed of light.  We aim for outerspace, fly one light year out and one light year back.  Are we two years older or two million?  How much older is the earth?  But we can't go back in time so we would be stuck in whatever future time it is.  Who wants to be the first to try it?
Here's a thought to ponder-- are aliens really alternate humans who can travel interdimensionally?  In other words, are they just our alternate selves from another dimension of earth that have found a way to travel back and forth?  Honestly, I think it would be easier to master traveling within dimensions of the same earth as travel would be instantaneous, rather than to think of any long distance space travel or being able to travel faster than the speed of light.

My grand thought for today is that I'm going to make a bumper sticker for my car that reads "Kiss my a** and I'll own yours, now BACK OFF!!"  The only problem, as my son pointed out, is that we live in a state that has NO FAULT insurance!  I think that is one of the worst things ever created.  I get ripped off paying higher costs for being a good driver so all the idiot drivers who cause accidents don't have to pay as much.  If they caused it, why do I have to pay?  When did this ever make sense except to the ones it benefits???

Hello to all

This is new to me so please have patience, lol.  I have always said I should have a website that anyone can post a thought.  Honestly, some of my ideas of how things work over the years have proven true.  I know that happens to a lot of people.  Anyway, my kids are always telling me I should write stuff down somewhere so this is where it will be.  I think way too much sometimes, and sometimes I even confuse myself, haha.  Let me know what you think, please.  No one has to agree with my outlook, but think about it.  Sometimes looking from a different angle gives you a larger perspective.  When people listen to me having a conversation with my kids about the world and beyond, they think we are arguing.  We have our own way of discussing, and we make sure the other one sees and understands our point of view, but agreeing with it is not a requirement.  We have some pretty heated discussions on things as common as politics and as far out as quantum physics, string theory, and multiple universes.  I raised my kids with the educational channels and discussions to expand their minds.  I think they surpassed me a while ago, lol.
When they were younger and my oldest was learning the solar system, they all picked a planet to be from, a way they got to earth (one just fell out of the spaceship), and when we saw strange lights in the sky they would debate over who's "parents" it was.  They had so much fun with it, even though there is 10 years from my oldest to my youngest.  I tried to make learning fun so they didn't know they were learning, and it worked.
Kids' minds are amazing.  The more you feed their mind the more they absorb.  At the same time, as they grow older and learn more, by having discussions with them you teach them how to theorize, and you learn too.
If this is too much for you, don't worry.  Like I said, I have always had to be self-sufficient so I have taught myself a lot of skills.  So there will be the everyday stuff in here as well as ways I manage such as couponing, and all my other interests.  There really are too many to list, so just check in now and again, as there will be something for just about everyone.  Thanks for reading my thoughts, and feel free to let me know what you think.  I always enjoy a different opinion.
